SC&T's HE03 series comprises CAT5e HDMI Extender Splitters, capable of extending HDMI signals over distances ranging from 393 to 557 feet (120 to 170 meters). The series offers versions supporting 1080p, 4K at 30Hz, and 4K at 60Hz resolutions. Additionally, daisy-chaining accessories are available, allowing connection of up to 250 devices for a total extension of up to 8,200 feet (2.5 kilometers).

HDMI Extender Splitter Capabilities

HDMI over Ethernet Extension

The HE03 series enables video transmission over CAT5e cables to distances between 393 and 557 feet. By connecting the HE03T-(4K/4K6G) transmitter to the source, HDMI signals are converted for network cable transmission. At the display end, the HE03R-(4K/4K6G) receiver reconverts the network signal back to HDMI, facilitating long-distance transmission.

HDMI over Network Switch Distribution 

Beyond extension, the HE03 series supports signal distribution. By converting HDMI signals to TCP/IP, it utilizes network switches to achieve one-to-many distribution. Each network cable segment can extend up to 328 feet. Purchasing one transmitter and multiple receivers allows distribution through standard 1Gbps network switches.

Features

EDID Management 

The HE03-4K supports EDID management, configurable via the receiver-side button. This ensures the source device automatically adjusts its output resolution to match the highest supported by the display.

Minimal Image Latency 

HE03 series boasts low image latency. According to tests conducted by our engineering team, the delay over a 100m extension distance is less than 1 frame (1/60 second). Test conditions were as follows:

• Result: Less than 1 frame

Daisy-Chaining Receivers

The HE03 4K30Hz and 4K60Hz models offer daisy-chaining receivers, featuring two additional RJ45 ports. These ports allow connection to subsequent extenders, increasing transmission distance and enabling distribution to multiple displays.

1. Connect the transmitter's HDMI port to the source.

2. Optionally, use the local loop-out to connect an HDMI display.

3. Link the transmitter and receiver using network cables.

4. Connect the receiver's HDMI port to the display.

FAQ

Does this extender support audio transmission?

Yes, it supports HDMI audio transmission, up to LPCM 7.1 @192KHz.

Is an external power supply required?

Yes, the extender includes a DC 5V 2A power adapter.

How to handle EDID issues?

When multiple receivers are connected to a switch, press the EDID button on the receiver connected to the desired display. The transmitter will then use this display's EDID as the reference, as it cannot copy multiple EDIDs simultaneously.

How to resolve unstable or intermittent connections?

This issue may stem from the quality of the network or HDMI cables. Ensure high-quality cables are used, and replace them if necessary.

Can devices with different resolutions be mixed?

No, different versions cannot be mixed. For example, when using the 4K30Hz version (HE03-4K), all devices must be of the 4K30Hz version.
